This was edited late at night, and posted just a little later than the timestamp, because well, you have to find the time somewhere during NaNoWriMo. But in case you were worried, don’t worry. This isn’t the end, the beginning of the end, or even the end of the beginning. It’s the beginning of an end, but only of the end to that bit in the middle no-one wanted where nothing was coming out. TES 038 - New Cromwell

Well the most stubborn cold I’ve had in years, and other real life considerations have managed to turn what I’d hoped would be a couple of days of delay into more than a week, but I hope the episode will proof to have been worth the wait. There are certainly plenty of developments as usual, but I’ll let you get on with listening to them rather than having to read them here.

TES 037 - The Center Cannot Hold

Delayed again due to some email trouble with one script. Back in the story things are moving along nicely. Captain Jarsto and Captain Drake spar about the political position of the fleet. Agent #6 and Serena are still working on their escape. And T’John and Du’Prek clearly have very different agendas for the Narn.

Well here it is, another feedback show, a long awaited and just plain long feedback show. Aside from the usual discussion of the feedback there’s an update on the Parsec situation. And a discussion of the recent delays and some of the reasons for them. As well as the usual wide ranging discussions that ensue whenever the three of us talk about B5 and TES. I’ve left the edit on this one quite rough, to keep it a bit closer to live as recorded, feel free to leave comments on that.

TES 036 - Things Fall Apart

Well we didn’t get back to schedule quite as intended, but the delay’s been cut to only two days. And to make up for that (well it was actually happening anyway, but it makes a good excuse) this is an extra long, and extra intense, episode. With shooting in Orion 7, shifting Narn alliances and Psi-Corps secrets there’s more than enough difficulty to go around.

Communications Update

The communications upgrades for the Orion 7 system are proceeding as planned. The Ministry regrets the continued blackout and assures the friends and families of our brave forces that contact will be reestablished in the coming week. The delay does not reflect any setback in our campaign to liberate Orion 7. Anyone spreading such rumors should be reported to your local NightWatch office. They will be given the opportunity to clarify their views.

The Ministry can confirm the rumors of a virulent infection affecting the rebel fleet. Our forces and surrounding systems have been unaffected, thanks to the strict quarantine enforced by our fleet. The Ministry has been assured by EarthForce that the virus is not a biological attack. Rather, it is an expected consequence of the corrupt practices of the rebels. Practices they intend to impose on the loyal citizens of Orion 7. We will not allow that to happen.

TES 033 - Fortnight

A week late, rather more of a delay than planned. Unfortunately trouble aboard the EAS Netherlands followed hot on the heels of the Psi Corps’ problems. And there’s some trouble on Orion 7 as well, because ISN propaganda is stirring things up.

Not that much feed back this time, and most of it (ironically) for the last feedback show. Still that leave time for a bit of speculation about things to come. Apologies for the audio quality. It’s patchy in places, but unfortunately that was the best connection we could manage on the night. Perhaps the Centauri were interfering with our broadcasts. Or those treacherous bastards in Syria Planum, not content with destroying our voicemail number, were trying to interfere. Both theories are currently under investigation.

Meanwhile on Orion 7 Captain Blake has some shore leave and gets an invitation from Minister Kane. Unfortunately for him the Orion 7 rain season, after its brief dry spell in episode 30, is now back in full force.

Buoyed by the praise for the Season 1 finale a look forward for Season 2 follows. One thing clearly emerges, none of the three sides at Orion 7 are monolithic, and all have a good amount of internal tension to deal with this season.

The lines to Syria Planum have finally cleared up, and that means this episode can go out. And in this episode tensions start to emerge in the Orion 7 defence fleet, and between Narn Commanders T’John and Du’Prek. In the psi-corps Agent #6 seems to be getting cooperation from Mr. Tam, but there are worrying signs beneath the surface data.

TES 025 - Places To Go

Places To Go picks up where Season One of Three Edged Sword left us. Captain Jarsto is down on Orion 7, dealing with politicians; Agent #6 is dealing with the psi-corps hierarchy on Syria Planum; and T’John and Ko’Treen reach the Narn base to meet with Commander Du’Prek.

Attention: TES 026 won’t be along next week as you may have been expecting. Looking back at the end of season one, and at the production process for this episode, we feel can’t reach the quality we’re hoping to reach with an episode each week. While you, the listener, hopefully haven’t noticed it the way we did (knowing what we’d meant to do) there were a few too many “it’ll have to be good enough” sections in season one from all of us.

Because of that we’ve decided to change the release schedule for Season 2. Episodes will now release every two weeks, meaning the next is due on February 12th. Feedbacks shows however will go into what would otherwise be an off week, so there should never be more than a two week pause between two story episodes.
