Sicknote From The Editor

First of all, to reassure anyone who may be worried at the title of this post, it’s nothing major. Just a bad cold, except that it’s managed to do what my colds manage to do a couple of times a year: irritate my tear ducts. One of the things that does is make my eyes a lot more sensitive to light.

This makes it difficult for me to look at the screen long enough to write this message, and impossible to put in a full editing session for TES 038 tonight. All the audio is in, so it is just a matter of editing, and it should get done in the next few days - as soon as this thing clears up.

Apologies for the delay to everyone, but especially the all the people who worked hard to get all the audio done on time.

Possible Download Issues

This is just a heads up that you may experience slight download problems during the next hour or so. All episodes so far are currently being re-uploaded and replaced to fix some issues with the album art. If a download isn’t working please give it a few minutes and try again.

Update: The new files are all up now, downloads should be back to normal now.

Communications update on schedule

Communication between select EarthForce and Psi Corps installations and expeditionary forces has been interrupted for routine maintenance and upgrades. It is part of our ongoing effort to integrate the forces working to ensure your safety and security. We wish to assure all good citizens that our forces are safe and maintain continued vigilance against our enemies.

Families of our forces liberating Orion 7 will have contact with their loved ones restored within a week. During this upgrade, we are jamming the communications of the rebel fleet that has subjugated Orion 7. They will have no opportunity to use this interruption for the cowardly sneak attacks that have built their reputation for infamy. Our forces will emerge stronger and more capable of crushing these traitors who cravenly and ignorantly oppose our reforms. We can rest easy knowing we are safe under the protection of our brave and loyal forces.

Communication Troubles

Sabotage by disloyal elements has caused severe communications problems in Earth Controlled space. These communication problems may delay the appearance of some broadcast programs.

Syria Planum Comm Trouble

We are sorry to report that Syria Planum is once again suffering communication problems. This is a technical problem, and is, in no way, related to any rumours of hypothetical fractures within the Corps.

Technicians are working on a solution to the problem, which will sadly delay the release of audio broadcasts involving Syria Planum material for some time.

Repairs may take a few days. We apologise for the inconvenience.

Three Edged Sword - General Casting Call

Now that we’ve got our own independent feed, and as a result a version of the show with more time to play with, we’re looking for more voices. As the story develops we’re going to need everything from some big recurring parts to people willing to do occasional bit parts as “bridge officer saying ‘yes, sir’”.

So if you’ve got the ability to record yourself at a decent quality, and you’re willing to give us a little (or more than a little) time, please send an email to tes at voicesofbabylon.com

And don’t worry if you don’t have time immediately, right now we’re mainly looking to build up a pool of voice talent we can draw on in the future.
