One Year Later…

On behalf of everyone behind Voices of Babylon, I first want to apologize.   As mentioned in the update from August 2009, there have been factors outside of the production of Three-Edged Sword that have been interfering with our ability to move forward with that series.  In particular, Jarsto’s health continues to be a factor, and both Edmund and I have been dealing with work and family demands that have precluded work on TES.

For now, Three-Edged Sword is on hold until we can decide how to resolve these issues and determine a path forward.  I promise that, at the very least, Season 2 will get a conclusion in the fullness of time.  Beyond that, I cannot say.

That’s the bad news.

The good news is that Voices of Babylon was never meant to be centered on Three-Edged Sword alone.  There are many talented people connected to Voices of Babylon, both behind the keyboard and behind the microphone, and they are all hungry to deliver some fresh “Babylon 5″ content in the spirit of Three-Edged Sword and other audiodrama productions.  Throughout the month of February, the Voices of Babylon crew has been discussing what we call Voices of Babylon 2.0: a collection of several productions of varying length, of which we all hope a revived Three-Edged Sword can eventually be a part.

Writers are working on scripts throughout the month of March, and we all hope to start providing fresh content on the feed as early as April.

Until then!

John

Sorry to hear about the health issues. I don’t know how bad it is, but as a sufferer of a chronic condition I feel for Jarsto for the long lasting ones. Thank you for the update and I hope things get better for all three of you. TES is an excellent series and even if this is it for that series, it has been an incredible production. Even now weeks after I’ve heard the entire series I’m still playing the downloaded episodes over and over again as a playlist. Its a wonderful escape into B5 and I thank everyone involved. I wish you the best for the other projects Voices will produce. Highest regards, Jeff
